1960's: mods and rockers

As well as resurgences in TV, another recent example of 60s fashion has been in film; for example, Brighton Rock, which has been re-worked and set in the 60's (as opposed to the original 1940's film, based on the 1938's novel by Graham Greene)

We love the 1940s!

This week we are reviving all things 40's... The decade may be known for a drab, utilitarian, 'make do and mend' look due to wartime restrains, but we think the 1940's have a lot to offer to fashion history..
Take these beautiful photographs for example, taken by Cecil Beaton and John Rawlings for vogue in 1940 and 1943..

The roaring 20s!

This week we are loving all things 20's.. with the arrival of Martin Scorsese's 'Boardwalk empire' on our screens, we think this will be the new 'Mad Men', and who know it could soon be influencing designers work like mad men did with its 60's inspired looks..
.
The 20s is a great era to draw inspiration from in fashion, with gorgeously cut, glamorous clothes and amazing details.. whats not to love??!
