We love the 1940s!

This week we are reviving all things 40's... The decade may be known for a drab, utilitarian, 'make do and mend' look due to wartime restrains, but we think the 1940's have a lot to offer to fashion history..

Decourcy's arcade: Vintage Shop inspiration: 1940s

On our travels around the West-end, in search of retro treasures, we came accross some great vintage shops.. Tucked away in Decourcy's arcade, we found a whole cluster of vintage and vintage-inspired boutiques, including one where you can have dresses made up on site from vintage patterns, and with vintage fabric! Take a look at these hand made to measure, 40's inspired outfits:

You can also find unique items from independent designers, as well as affordable vintage pieces and even student's design work, in neighbouring mini boutique, 'just for you'..

You will find Decourcy's arcade on cresswell lane just off Byres Road, opposite ashton lane and just around the corner from Hillhead subway Station.
